How to Get a More Reasonable Quote?
A few practical suggestions:
·Provide complete documentation: 3D models, 2D drawings, clear tolerances and surface roughness requirements, and material grades should be clearly specified (e.g., "Al 6061-T6" rather than just "aluminum")
·Loosen tolerances on non-critical dimensions, and only tighten precision on mating surfaces
·Use standard threaded holes and tool sizes
·Consolidate orders to spread setup costs across larger batch sizes
