Before partnering with a mold machining factory, qualification verification is essential homework. Here are the key items to check.

1. Business License and Business Scope

The foundation for legal operation. The business scope on the license should clearly include related items such as "precision manufacturing and processing" and "metal products manufacturing."

2. Quality Management System Certification

ISO 9001 is a basic certification, proving that the company has the ability to stably provide qualified products. It is a prerequisite for participating in government procurement and large corporate bidding.

Industry-specific certifications:

·Automotive industry: Requires IATF 16949 certification

·Medical devices: Requires ISO 13485 certification

·Aerospace: Requires AS9100D certification

You can check the validity of certification certificates on the CNCA (Certification and Accreditation Administration of China) website.

3. Equipment Configuration

Verify whether the factory is equipped with core processing equipment: CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, etc., and whether equipment precision meets industry standards.

High-precision inspection capability is a key indicator: Factories equipped with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) have micron-level 3D dimensional inspection capability, indicating stronger process control capability.

4. Personnel Qualifications

Do key personnel have relevant qualifications? Welders need to hold nationally recognized welding certificates; CNC operators need to pass vocational skills assessments and possess programming, equipment debugging, and troubleshooting capabilities.

5. Performance Proof

Request the factory to provide relevant performance proof from the past three years (contract key pages, invoices, and other supporting documents). Factories with two or three long-term client relationships are generally more reliable than those without stable clients.

6. Environmental Protection and Safety Compliance

Factories involving surface treatment (spraying, electroplating, etc.) need to hold a pollutant discharge permit issued by the environmental protection department. Those involving special equipment processing also need to obtain a special equipment manufacturing license.
