⭐Competition in the Injection Molding Industry Shifts Toward Comprehensive Capabilities

In the past, when it came to competition in the injection molding machine industry, the keywords were often "scale" and "price"—whoever had greater production capacity and lower prices secured the orders. But today, this approach is being collectively abandoned by industry leaders. A clear signal has emerged: competition in the injection molding machine industry is shifting from the traditional battle of scale and price to a comprehensive contest of technological innovation, product performance, system solution capabilities, and global service capabilities.

I. Upgraded Downstream Demand Drives "Hard Power" Improvement

Downstream industries such as new energy vehicles, electronics and electrical appliances, medical devices, and packaging are placing higher demands on plastic products—precision, lightweighting, functionalization, and sustainability. A standard injection molding machine can no longer meet these requirements.

Take new energy vehicles as an example: "replacing metal with plastic" and "replacing aluminum with magnesium" have become essential needs. Components such as battery packs, large curved-surface screen covers for interiors, and transparent grilles concealing LiDAR sensors impose stringent demands on injection molding machines in terms of precision, stability, and large-scale molding capabilities. In the past, such high-transparency, high-precision plastic parts could only be produced using equipment from Germany and Austria. Today, domestic industry leaders like Haitian Plastics Machinery have, over two years, overcome the control technology required to achieve micron-level movements in hundred-ton components, achieving positioning accuracy of 0.02mm (one-fifth the thickness of a standard A4 sheet), successfully replacing imported equipment in the high-end injection molding manufacturing sector.

II. Competitive Dimensions Upgraded: From "Selling Equipment" to "Selling Solutions"

The model of simply selling stand-alone machines is being phased out. Leading companies are transforming into "total solution providers."

Clients no longer come with "I want to buy an XX-ton injection molding machine"—instead, they say, "I need to produce a certain product." Companies must provide end-to-end solutions that integrate hardware and software, covering equipment selection, mold design, production line planning, and AI algorithm implementation. For example, Yizumi adopts a "customer co-creation" model: after the client provides a 3D model, a complete standardized production solution can be delivered within one month, cutting preliminary preparation time by more than half and boosting product yield from 60%–70% to 80%–90%.

III. Intelligence Injects New Dimensions into Competition

Intelligence has become the key differentiator. Yizumi released the industry's first "Intelligent Grading Roadmap for Molding Manufacturing," dividing the intelligence level of molding production sites into six levels from L0 to L5, directly benchmarked against autonomous driving standards for automobiles. Its AI-enabled equipment can automatically identify product defects and adjust process parameters in a closed-loop manner.

At the same time, industrial IoT platforms enable machine connectivity and data collaboration, providing clients with predictive maintenance and remote intelligent services—an essential component of global service capabilities.

IV. Global Expansion Becomes a "Must-Answer Question"

Leading companies are accelerating their overseas expansion. Currently, Yizumi has established subsidiaries in 12 countries overseas, with a global service network covering nearly 180 service points. In the first half of 2026, China's cumulative export value of injection molding machines reached approximately 7.167 billion RMB. Chinese-made equipment, leveraging acceptable quality and competitive pricing, has performed notably well in markets such as Mexico, Vietnam, and Turkey.
