In particular, the rise of Giga-casting technology is profoundly reshaping the industry landscape. It consolidates dozens or even hundreds of components—previously produced through stamping and welding—into a single cast using ultra-large die casting machines. This dramatically simplifies production processes, reduces costs, and lowers vehicle body weight. We are witnessing a shift from Tesla's pioneering efforts to active experimentation by companies like China's Dongfeng Motor, where 10,000-tonne class die casting machines are now in operation, capable of producing single components in a cycle time of less than two minutes.
